Already since the early 20's until today Vienna was and is an extremely popular and desired film location. Many international and national blockbusters and television productions have been filmed in the Prater, such as "The Third Man", James Bond In The Breath of Death, most recently "The Wild Mouse" and many more.
In literature, the Prater is often quoted and is the setting for authors like: Peter Altenberg, Arthur Schnitzler, Karl Kraus, Graham Greene, Elfriede Jelinek and many others. The last production of Liliom in the Vienna Burgtheater shows a stage set with Toboggan and Wild Mouse.
In the Prater of Vienna, the Ladies Orchestra was invented and many pieces of music were sung about in the Prater.
For the visual arts, studios were established in two former pavilions of the Vienna World Exhibition of 1873.
